Who we are

A Child Protection and Safeguarding Specialist with over ten years of experience advancing gender equality, strengthening protection systems, and promoting social justice in Kenya and across East Africa. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to safeguarding, dignity, and justice for vulnerable populations. She holds a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Moi University. She is also a trained Counsellor, with expertise in survivor-centred care, trauma-informed approaches, social norms change, and gender-based violence prevention and response, and is a Certified Trainer of Trainers in Social Norms Change Programming with certification in GBV Case Management.

She has worked with diverse populations, including refugees, survivors of human trafficking, people living with HIV, children in need of care and protection, and GBV survivors, bringing a strong, grounded understanding of vulnerability and resilience. Halima has contributed to strengthening referral pathways, supporting policy processes, and leading the rollout of digital case management systems (CPIMS, VCMS, and SPMS) across multiple counties to improve coordination, accountability, and service delivery, working closely with government institutions including the Department of Children Services. She also brings strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), using data and evidence to inform programming, track impact, and strengthen decision-making.

Beyond her technical work, Halima provides strategic leadership at both organizational and sector levels. She serves on the boards of three Community-Based Organizations, offering governance oversight and mentorship, and is an Organizational Development Consultant supporting institutions to strengthen systems, strategy, and program impact.

A programs professional with a strong foundation in community-based work on sexual and reproductive health, child protection, and gender-based violence prevention. He leads the coordination and technical delivery of programs, ensuring that activities are not only well implemented but also structured, relevant, and responsive to the realities of the communities they serve. His work focuses on strengthening how programs are designed and delivered, supporting teams, guiding implementation, and ensuring consistency, quality, and meaningful engagement across all interventions.

Peter brings practical, hands-on experience from working directly with children, adolescents, and community stakeholders. He has facilitated school and community programs reaching large numbers of young people with information on SRHR, life skills, and safety, while also supporting case management processes through his work with the Department of Children Services, including the use of CPIMS. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kenyatta University and has training in leadership and mentorship. He is known for his thoughtful approach, strong facilitation skills, and commitment to creating safe, respectful spaces where young people can learn, engage, and be heard.

A community development practitioner with a decade of experience in community engagement, administration, and organizational support. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Moi University, which grounds her work in a strong understanding of social systems, community dynamics, and inclusive development. Evelyne has worked across community outreach, customer service, and program support roles, building solid skills in coordination, stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation.

In her role as Operations and Administration Lead, Evelyne ensures smooth organizational operations, effective coordination, and accountability across systems and processes. She supports financial tracking, procurement, logistics, and staff coordination, helping create a structured and reliable environment for program delivery. Known for her attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving ability, Evelyne plays a key role in strengthening internal systems and supporting the overall impact of the organization.

A Community Engagement and Communications Practitioner with a strong passion for social impact, youth engagement, and inclusive development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Archaeology with IT from Maseno University, which informs his understanding of society, culture, and community dynamics. Nimrod has experience working with community groups, civil society organizations, and public institutions, supporting stakeholder engagement, mobilization, and collaboration. During his time with the National Federation of Public Benefit Organizations, he contributed to coordinating with organizations across the country, supporting engagement efforts, and mobilizing participation in key forums and events.

In his role, Nimrod supports the development of partnerships and contributes to advocacy and communications efforts that strengthen the organization’s visibility and engagement. He works closely with stakeholders, supports content creation and storytelling, and helps translate program work into messages that connect with communities and partners. With a strong interest in building relationships and amplifying community voices, Nimrod brings energy, creativity, and a collaborative approach to supporting partnerships and advancing the organization’s work.

A Community Liaison Officer who doubles as a Community Health Promoter and Child Protection Volunteer, with strong roots in grassroots engagement in Kajiado North. She has actively supported community initiatives on gender-based violence prevention, mentorship, and substance abuse awareness, working closely with local leaders, families, and vulnerable groups. Her work is built on trust, consistent presence in the community, and a strong commitment to supporting wellbeing and protection at both household and community levels.

In her role, Margaret strengthens the link between the organization and the community by mobilizing participation, facilitating dialogue, and ensuring that community voices are heard and reflected in programs. She works closely with local structures, including community leaders, volunteers, and service providers, to support referrals, awareness, and access to services. Recognized for her approachable nature, reliability, and strong relationships within the community, Margaret plays a key role in building trust, strengthening community linkages, and supporting effective, locally grounded implementation.
